Please take a moment to review the new data resources that are available at: https://ncpreventiontta.althahosting.com/index.php/s/dpdQNXpTSQRSYYx
New resources include data sets, ranking tip documentation, and detailed information about Using the 2017 Youth Prevention Survey. We encourage all providers to read Using the 2017 Youth Prevention Survey file. The file is important given new data findings being shared by Melinda Pangratz, Ph.D, our Senior Research Associate from the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Melinda indicates that:
Thanks to your diligent questions, we have discovered there are some items included on the statewide Youth Prevention Survey results that are sometimes excluded from the LMC-MCO Youth Prevention Survey results. If your assessment has been identified as having missing data and the items below are missing, please include a note to say that they are not in your specific LME-MCO file (e.g., not in the Cardinal results):
“Bought alcohol consumed in past 30 days in a restaurant, bar, or club”
“Bought alcohol consumed in past 30 days at a public event”
“Stole tobacco consumed in past 30 days from a store or another person”
“Stole vapor products consumed in past 30 days from a store or another person”
“Bought vapor products consumed in past 30 days in a store that was not a vapor shop,”
“Received prescription drugs misused in past 30 days from own prescription”
“Seen pictures of teens drinking/doing drugs on social media.”
If you identify other survey items that you are not able to find, please let us know the specific item, and we will confirm if it’s missing or can be found in an unanticipated location.
Please contact the NCTTA Center at email@example.com if we can assist.
